Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering 

 

• Department of ECE was established in the year 1999.

• M.Tech (Wireless communication) was started in the year 2014.

•  It has well experienced and dedicated faculty members who have been extending their support for properly shaping their students to reach success in all their endeavors.

• It has 8 well equipped laboratories with latest equipments like vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, DSP kits, embedded kits, RADAR trainer kits, etc.

• It has produced 3 Pondicherry University gold medalists and many rank holders in both UG and PG.

• Average overall pass percentage is 78%.

• Department has student association ECSTASY through which various events like seminar, workshops, symposium are conducted every year.

• It has IETE Students Association “ISF” through which various activities are conducted.

• Students are encouraged to register NPTEL online courses and Spoken Tutorial courses offered by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Mumbai respectively.

• Many students have been placed in top MNC’s like TCS, CTS, WIPRO, Societe Generale, etc.

• Average placement percentage is 80%.

• Many students are pursuing their higher studies in abroad countries and some of them completed Ph.D.

• Our alumni are working in ISRO as scientist.

• Our students are having excellent records in sports, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

• Our students are actively participating in various clubs like Robotics club, CREST Club, NSS club, Socio Adventure club, Rotract club, Red Ribbon club, Lit Wit club, E-Skill Development club etc.,
